Dear Sir:

For your private information I am glad to
be able to tell you that the Board of Regents at its
last meeting passed the following resolution:

"That the Board of Regents adopts as the schedule
of salaries to which it will conform at the earliest
possible moment and upon the basis of which it will
make its requests to the tagisiatare: the following:

Professors . . . $ 2600 to 3000
Associate Professors . 2100 to 2500
Assistant Professors . 1600 to 2000
Instructors . . . 1100 to 1500
Assistant Instructors - Below 1000*.
Although some sacrifices in other respects were neces-

sary, the Board adhered to the automatic increases in the present

salary schedule in its budget for 1912-13.
