  <dc:creator>Webb, Thomas H. (Hopkins) , 1801-1866 (Creator)</dc:creator>
<dc:description>A. A. Lawrence wrote to Charles Robinson in Kansas Territory from Green Bay, Wisconsin. Lawrence commented on the recently appointed Governor of Kansas Territory, Robert John Walker, and criticized his desire to split the free state party. He referred to disagreements within the New England Emigrant Aid Company, and mentioned that he had resigned his position as Treasurer. Lawrence also discussed the collapse of land speculation all over the West.</dc:description>
