March 23, 1919 Bonnetable, Sarthe, France. Dear Father and Sisters:- I received your letter of March 2^(nd) this Sunday morning. Was taking my annual at the time when a friend (A.E.F. Yank) entered my room with your letter, one from Guthrie Consistory and one from Wellington. Am in France yet, don’t know how many April mornings I will see here, but possibly a half dozen at least. May not come home for some time after I am discharged. Have something in view at present elsewhere than at Argonia. This Army has made a tramp of me. Am sending under seperate cover a few more souvenirs of the Boche. Enclosing here in an inventory of same. Geo. Lukens and I spent Friday evening together, a fine old chap. Jew Phillippi is coming down this P.M. Am well and hope all are well and prosperous at home. I remain Your tramp son, Roaming Mike.
