Dear Phog:

I have just returned from a short vacation spent at Estes Park

and, as you know from past experience, one is in sight of snow by
day and in need of blankets by night. I have come back refreshed
and feeling fine, so it seems a good time to answer your letter;
namely, that we will give you $400.00 for two games of basketball
on December 16 and 17. If this is satisfactory, I will appreciate
your letting me know at your convenience and we will send contract.
Our basketball coach, Jack Gray, is very much interested in playing
you, and I feel that it will work out to the benefit of all of us.

Phog, we would want it understood that in case we can come to Law=
rence any time within the next year or two you will give us the same
guarantece
