Dear Mr. Allen:

In reply to your letter of July 15th, I
wish to state that I shall do my best to carry out your
request in regard to Mr. Quigley as an official for our
games with you and those of yours with Texas. I am sure
that it would be agreeable with Southern Methodist Uni-
versity and Texas if the expense of bringing Mr. Quigley
were not too high. Will you please let me know just what
fee we would have to pay him per game and a close ap-
proximation of his traveling expenses?

I am taking my vacation hard at work as I
have much to learn before making my first assignment of
officials.

I am indeed delighted to know that you are
going to make a trip down this way.

In your letter of July lst, you stated that
you were sorry that Billy Dewell would not be playing in our
games. I am glad to report that he will be as this is his
senior year.
