Dear Eni:

! i am hardly in a position to elose for
December 15 at the present time. If we played you
in Lawrence we would be glad to give you half of
the cash gate that we take in that evening,

Of course, we would not want to cout the
student tickets es this would be an extra gam, and
there is nothing that we get from the student ticket
on these extra games. The tickets are sold to the
students for $1.50 for the eight or ten games that |
we have each year, The Jay Janes, a vep organization,
gets 10%, or 15¢ from each $1.50, for selling the
tickets, So you see, there isn't anything left when
the money is broken up into so many fragmonts.

Frankly, I believe the people would come out
for this gam, ani if we would play on the 13th we
would have three games hand running here in Lawrence
that week, ‘We play Southwestern the 14th, Morningside
the 15th, and Washburn the 16th at Topeka. I believe
if we consider other close games the public will turn
out in good shape.

We could give you a cash guarantee of $25.00
or $30.00 with an option of 50% of the cash gate,

As you know, we are playing Doane College
on the 6th and Ottawa on the 7th, both here in Lawrences.
Zt am doubling up a lot of cellege games with an idea of
finding out what 1 really have. ile lost Wellhausen,
Holliday, Rogers and Noble out of our first five, having
only Praile left, so I will have to get busy with what
material I have to make a decent showing against a lot
of other teams,
