ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION (INCORPORATED) Oklahoma Deechnel and Mechanical College STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA Aug. 16, 1944 Dr. Forrest C, Allen Athletic Department University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Doctor Allen: I was glad to receive your letter of August 12 relative to doubleheader basketball in Kansas City. We definitely are interested, as I had indicated in earlier correspondence. The suggested date of December 16 is in conflict with previously-signed contracts calling for us to ‘meet Temple in Philadelphia on that date, the final game of our eastern tour, I hope there are other dates available for the proposed Kansas City program. We are committed for participation in doubleheader programs February 3 and February 24 in the auditorium in Oklahoma City, opponents not yet selected. I hope you will give continued consider- ation to the Oklahoma Uity possibility. It should be a very attractive appearance for Kansas. Consider us interested in the Kansas City program on any of our available dates and thanks very much for your letter. Sincerely, H.P. Iba
