I am very sorry to state that existing Army regulatios prohibit the appearance of an Army band in any activity other then military, Red Cross, or War Bond drives. About the only ‘exception they will make are events in which a military team is competiting. I want to take this opportunity of expressing the appreciation of the service men for your generosity in connection with the K U-TCU game in Kansas City. I am well acquainted with Mr. Hamey, and will get in touch with him within the next few dayse If arrangements for transportation can be made, there will no doubt be a number of the boys from here attending your games at Lawrence this fall. You might mention to Dr. Allen that I am planning. on having another good basketball team representating the Fort this winters We sincerely hope that we will be able to schedule a couple of games with the KU team.
