Dear Doc:

A recent letter from Bruge Drake informs me that three
teams have already accepted invitation to play here on Dec. 16 ;
Kansas, Oklahoma and Iowa Pre-flight. I suggested to Bruce that
Arkansas would be an excellent drawing card if they were available.
While they were planning on the N.C.A.A. last March they created
plenty of interest among the basketball followers here. The Freshmen
team of forwards at the University of Iow.did likewise.

If you think a High School game at 6:30 would be of some
value I would be glad to arrange such a game. Northeast could play
Ward, or some equally good team that night- friday or saturday.

Of course we wori't be allowec to start practice until Nov. 15 1
think we will have a good team this year; have hopes that Dick Allen
will be able to get in there once in a while. He didn't come out

for the team last year but looked very good in Intra-mural games.

How would Lance and Oberhelman suit you as officials for
the games on Dec. 16th. and for the two nights of Dec. 22-25

According to Bruce he is interested only in the date of
Dec. 16th. I hope you can make arrangements to play Wyoming here
on the 15th. I believe Kansas City is ready for some good basketball
games this Winter.
