December 6, 1944. Mr. M. FP. Ahoarn, “Director of Athletics, Kansas State College, Manhattan, Kansas. Dear Mike: I had written George Edwards asking whether he wanted glass or wooden backboards for our games in Kansas City on December 22 and 23. His thought was that in case our games attract a large sale of seats at the end of the court, the glass backstops would add to spectator enjoyment. So I thought that the spectators might think we had not been mindful of them if we put up wooden boards. There- fore, I have asked the Hall people to put up glass boards. I would appreciate it if you will pass this on to Frits Knorr. I believe we are going to have a fine crowd. , If there is anything that I can do to aid in the relationship of our teams, please let me know. Cordially yours, Director of Physical Education, FCA :AH Varsity Basketball Coach.
