Dear Eddie:

I am sorry that we are cutting dow greatly on
our games with service teams. I wish it might be possible to
play your boys, but I am afraid not under the conditions.

Our youngsters are very immature, and while we
piayed better than twenty-five games last year, I think we
are playing only sixteen this year. :

I do wish you lots of luck, and when the war is
over we will be glad to see you at your old stand.
