Dear Doc:

I am sorry that Hank Iba has a billing in Philadelphia on December
16. I know that this game would have been a wonderful drawing card after
the four man trouble in Lawrence.

The only game I am interested in is the one game on December 16 as
we planned in Kansas City.

I am at a loss to recommend any team with drawing=power to a man who
has been in the game as long as you have; however, I would be more than
glad to try to get Ohio State to come in and play me, provided you want
the Seahawks. Personally I don't particularly care who Oklahoma plays on
that particular night. I would just as soon play Great Lakes as the Sea-
hawks or any other team that we might get to come in. You advise me which
way you want me to go and I am sure that it will work out satisfactorily
for Nordly. In short, if you are having trouble getting 4 reputable team
and want me to see what I can do, it will be necessary for me to contact
the team with the idea of playing them. If such is agreed, I would want
it understood between you and I that the team scheduled would meet your
satisfaction 100%.

December 16 is the only possible date that I can play. I om sorry
that Ev Shelton will be in the East at that time. Please let me know ©

what you want me to do on the matter, and I will be glad to cooperate
in any way possible.
