ROCKHURST COLLEGE ROCKHURST ROAD AND TROOST AVENUE KANSAS GITY, MISSOURI 4 DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION september k6, 1944 Mr. £E.C.Quigley Director of Athletics Kansas University Lawerence, Kansas Dear Mr, Quigley; Hope you will pardon my delay in answering your letter regarding football dates. I handed the letter to Father Smith; he placed it before the Athletic Board. The Board was against any change on our Missouri Valley date due to the fact that we have so few home games, Regarding playing your second team, they felt that we could not offer enough competition, due to the smallness and youth of our boys. We have played Kansas University tin Basketball the last two years and enjoyed the relations very much. We would like to play them again in the hall here in Kansas City this year and would be glad to go to Lawerence for a return game. Will hold early season dates open until I hear from you. We have the 18th of December taken as we we to Kansas State on that date. Kindest personal regards to yourself amd Wirs. Be alan Quigley from all the Lanes.
