Dear Louie:

I am quite sure that Kansas State will not havea basketball
team. Mike Ahearn as much as three weeks ago told me that over
the telephone. They are using the gymmasium for their
program both day and night, so I know that they are out of it.

I, too, agree with you that there is no chance of waiving
the Navy 48 hour off-campus rule, so they of necessity will be
short trips.

‘September 18 or 19 will suit me very well, but Louie, won't
you take the responsibility of acting so that the coaches will ‘
know what to do? Anything suits me beoause we have got to win
the war and that is more pauon vane then athletic contests.
