Dear Phog:

By this time you probably know about the directive
from the Navy Department which limits our athletic
competition to the area in the Fourth Intercollegi-
ate Zone,

We are all very sorry about this action, as it
eliminates any possibility of a game with Kansas
in Kansas City and prohibits our carrying on the
very pleasant relations we have established with
Kansas,

In case you should be in this section of the country —
with your team this winter, I just hope you will let
us know in time, so that a game can be arranged here
on the station and our sailor men offered the oppor-
tunity of seeing Kansas play.
