October 16, 1943. _ Lt. Commander Harvey J. Harman, USNR Athletic Director, coe U. &S. Navy Pre-Flight School, Iowa City, Towa. Dear Commander Harman: I have not answered your letter because I am still debatin City. We played Great Lakes in the first world war in Kansas City, and played them twice in the second world war, and they have established a traditional drawing power. However, I think your football game with Missouri this Satur- day night will pretty definitely establish the Seahawks z power in Kansas City. Last year in December the weather was so terribly bad it was not a fair indication, but if you and I both think after the Missouri football geme that the Seahawks will draw woll in basketball we will go ahead, if agreeable with you. Sincerely yours, Direstor of Physical Education, FCA:AH Varsity Basketball Coach.
