Allen i University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Doc: Tt would relieve me of some work if I did not assign officials for the non-conference games, but the expense is very little. There are several reasons why this office should assign all officials: | 1. The schools still have the right to say whom they would like to use in these games, but it gives us an opportunity to get in, and keep in,touch with these officials- sometimes they are new men. 2. We want every officialsthat works in our games to attend the Clinic and if I assign him I feel free to ask him to come. If they live tao far from Kansas City and have only one game we do not expect them to © COME « La 3. Shere issthe very likely possibility that some men might work too many games for a given school unless I know all the assignments, and at the time the assignments are made. I agree with you that the same men can work the High School game that works your game with Rockhurst. I take it that you mean the games here in Kasas City Dec. llth. The postscript about the two Aggie games was meant for Bruce Drake. Will probably see you here Saturday the 4th. Sincerely yours, Corns) R. E. Peters
