I appreciate more than I can express
your short letter of April 27 in reference to our
annual report. It could have been much better;
however, with conditions as they were in the oil
industry and business in general, we really feel
proud of our year's operations.

I had hoped to get up to Lawrence for
the relays, but things were just too rough. Mary
Louise will visit the Pi Phi house I believe next
week end, and I know that she plans to drop down to
see you and Mrs. Allen and of course the girls.

I appreciate your taking the time to
write me such a nice letter, and I hope our paths
may meet some place this summer.
