U. S. NAVAL RESERVE AVIATION BASE FAIRFAX AIRPORT KANSAS CITY, KANSAS ACT-BB-5 July 24 1942 Dear Dr, Allens Thanks kindly for your letter confirming the dates of December 5th, January 4th and February 4tn. At the present time it looks like the preliminary game will be between Rockhurst and Baker, Warrensburg was given consider- ation, but inasmuch as Rockhurst had another game scheduled with them, they preferred to play Emil Liston's team, As soon as we get definite word from Liston I will let you know regarding this game, Received a letter from Henry Iba today telling me that he has an open date of January 29th, and is agreeable to coming in on your double header with the Iowa Pre-Flight School, I hope this arrangement proves satisfactory with you, and that you are ready to close with us on that date, I am sure that the double header would be a good drawing card and would be to the advantage of all concerned, Also would you like for us to come in on the date of January 30th for a pre= liminary game, We could probably pick up a college in this area that would require very little expense, I would be pleased to have your reaction to this proposal, My schedule is shaping up nicely, and now it is just a matter of finding a few ball players that can give our opposition some competition, Sincerely yours, .
