Dear Dr. Allen:

Thanks very much for your letter of August 7. Of
course, I am very happy as to the out-come of your dec-
ision, and I assure you I appreciate it more than you
think; and my only hope now is that Missouri will have a
team near, or equal to yours, so that we will really have
two big nights of basketball.

I talked to Dorman O'Leary in regard to some double
headers in the Auditorium next year. He was very much in
favor of it and I assure you that we will do our best to
promote these basketball attractions.

You have been very fine and fair in this dealing
Dr. Allen, and I assure you I shall not forget ite I on-
ly hope that our newly formed friendship will carry on,
and I am looking forward for another nice #isit with you.
