Excerpt from Minutes of The Faculty Representatives of the M.V.1.A.A., meeting held at Hotel Muehlebach, K.C., Mo.,May 22-23, '42. Suspension of Junior College Rule. It was moved by Dr. Davis, seconded by Professor Kraft that Junior College transfers having completed 54 hours of credit in Junior College be eligible for Varsity participation upon completing enrollment in any Big Six institution. This provision is for the duration of the war. The vote was as follows: Iowa State College yes Kansas St. College yes U. of Kansas yes U. of Missouri yes U. of Nebraska yes U. of Oklahoma yes The motion carried. Suspension of Calendar and Academic Year Residence Requirements. Dean Thompson moved that the calendar and academic year residence requirements be suspended for the duration of the war. The motion was seconded by Professor Kraft. Change in Credit Hour Requirements. It was moved by Dean Thompson, and seconded by Professor Kraft that for the duration of the war the credit hour require- ment for Intercollegiate Athletics participation be reduced to 55 quarter credits or 24 semester hours.
