few over there shat are capable of doing the job. In our inter-
scholastic league we attempt to use officials from just outside
Kansas City whenever possible, and there were just two that we
could use from across the Kaw- only one of them met with general
approval. , |

I fail to see where there is any connection between
old acquaintances and officiating. I am quite sure that there is
no connection between friendships and officiating in so far as you
are concerned.

Believe I told you that Curtiss had gone into the
service and was not available for officiating . I don't know
at this time what we are going to do about your games with the
Oklahoma Aggies, and between the Aggies and Oklahoma. It will be
difficult to fimd men that will be agreeable to all concerned.
