The Fort Monmouth basketball team is now composed of former college and university players, and has many of the New York colleges on its schedule. Among them are Brooklyn College, Fordham, Columbia, St. Francis College and Lafayette College. We also have two dates in the Garden: November 23 and November 25. If you are planning to spend a few days in New York, would it be possible for your team to com to Fort Monmouth? Our main purpose in having a basketball team is to entertain the thousands of men of Fort Monmouth and its subposts, Camp Wood and Camp Edison. Therefore, I know the presence of your team would really be a treat for all the men. If there is a possibility of a game, please contact me. We are located approximately forty-five miles from New York; and I can make arrangements for you to hire a bus so that the trip will be possible.
