Dear Mr. Allen

Your request for improvements in the gymnasium
is acknowledged, and I know they are things you
need.

However, the painting situation is quite uncertain.
We have no paint stock on hand of the kind you will
need, and because of insufficient funds have not
expected to purchase any before July l.

Toilet fixture purchases are out for the duration
because of priority regulations.

We can and will remove the running track when and
if we get the Navy and all the departmental moves
involved straightened out.

I will plan to see you about vacating all areas you
want painted a sufficient length of time for proper
drying out.
