April @, 1942. Mr. ©. G. Bayles, & Buildings and Grounds. Dear Ur. Bayless The grass 7 luxuriant on the University golf course, and I trust that it will be mowed at « very early date. With the restriction on golf balls, our players are even more anxious to have te grass cut so they can find thems My assistant on the course has also reports that there have been additional trees planted in the fairways. This is certainly a@ mental hazard, wad we hoped the planting might have been for- gotten in these fairweys directly in the flight of the ball. I appreciate the necessity of landscaping this beautiful Mount Oread, but there are so few areas of play space and recreation on Mount Oread that a little cooperation would be greatly apprec- iated. Sincerely yours, | Director of Physical Education and Recreation, PCAsAH Varsity Basketball and Baseball Coach.
