Dear Dr. Allen:

After our brief discussion of this morning con-
cerning the facilities of a permanent location for the University
skating area I dropped into the Chancellors Office and discussed
it briefly with him.

I believe he has tentatively agreed to a permanent
location as it now is but for purposes of making final decision
I would appreciate it very much if you would see him concerning
the matter and write me a letter stating just what the official
decision is. Upon receipt of this information we will do our
best to build a permanent skating area which can be drained during
the summer time which will carry approximately six inches of water
over the entire area next fall after the Intramural games. With
this information we will have the matter settled.

I agree fully with the students that their Intramural
fields have been pretty badly messed up. We will try to improve
theme
