Dear Dr. Allen:

This will acknowledge your letter of July 13 con
cerning decoration of the swimming pool walls. Mr. Bayles
has included the swimming pool in his routine painting schedule.
I think, however, that this will include only standard wall
painting. With Buildings and Grounds funds restricted as they
are, Mr. Bayles has not been able to do any special painting,
such as the tropical background that you suggest for the pool.

I hope that some day this can be provided.
