SQUARED MESH

LIKE IN TENNIS NETS
Some people prefer squared mesh in golf
nets as it hangs a little straighter than dia-
mond mesh and is in some cases neater in
appearance. It is a little more expensive,
however, and has the disadvantage that it
may be more easily broken because it is
more rigid and does not “‘give’’ as much as
the diamond mesh when struck by a ball.
It can be supplied in all the\regular sizes

of mesh and twine.

ee CANVAS BACKS FOR GOLF NETS

For safety these backs should be made of very heavy duck and we
wish to warn our customers against using some of the cheap canvases
sold by some concerns. A ball driven through a canvas might cause

serious damage. We recommend that the back be made of No. 6
duck and in the shape of a shallow box as shown in the illustration.
We supply these box-like backs unless otherwise specified. Grommets
are placed along the edges 3 in. apart to permit lacing the net to the
canvas. The end of the net should set INSIDE the edge of the canvas.

These are squares of No. 4 duck, 6x 6 ft., with nets themselves so the nets will stand away from
a bull’s-eye painted in the center. They provide the pipe. We will be glad to furnish a blue print
protection to the back canvas as well as something so customers can build their own frames or can
