It is printed by the Bureau of Printing, under the direction of the faculty of the Department of Journalism and the students taking work in that department. It is distrib- uted free of charge to all Summer Session students on each Tuesday and Fri- day morning during the term. HOUSING AND RECREATION ROOMS FOR WOMEN The list of approved rooming houses for women may be procured from the adviser of women. By action of the Board of Regents occupancy of rooms by women students shall be subject at all times to the approval of the adviser of women; women students are not permitted to lodge in houses in which men also lodge, unless for special reasons the rule is waived by the adviser. Women students may live in apartments only by special permission of the adviser of women, who must approve their chaperon. Corsin Hau, dormitory for women students, will be open for occupancy during the Summer Session. It has accommodations for 120 women. It is a fireproof brick and stone structure, with running hot and cold water in every room. It is beautifully furnished, completely equipped and meets every de- mand for modern, wholesome living conditions at moderate prices. Dinners will be served at six o’clock week days and at noon Sunday. Breakfast will be served cafeteria style from seven to nine o’clock. A rebate will be allowed for meals missed over the week-end provided sufficient notice of absence is given and provided the resident is out of town. Arrangements may be made for dinners by non- residents of the hall, both men and women, at the rate quoted above. Reser- vations may be made through the office of the Adviser of Women. All charges are payable in advance at the beginning of the session. The University furnishes all bedding, including sheets, pillows, blankets, pillow- cases, bedspreads; also dresser scarfs. It does not furnish towels. The hall provides all dining-room linen. There are numerous rooming houses and eating places which are in opera- tion during the Summer Session. Watkins Hatt, Mier Hatt. Through the munificence of the late Mrs. J. B. Watkins, of Lawrence, the University has two handsome halls of resi- dence for women—Watkins Hall, opened in 1926, and Miller Hall, opened in 1937. Each has accommodations for forty women. See Corbin Hall schedule for room rates. No meals will be served at these halls. For further details in regard to either rooming or boarding facilities write Miss Marie Miller, Assistant to the Adviser of Women, 220 Frank Strong Hall. ROOMS FOR MEN The list of approved rooming houses for men may be procured from the University Alumni Office, which is the authorized rooming agency for men in the University. This office, 2 Frank Strong Hall, is open throughout the sum- mer. Students are urged to make use of its sérvices. The University attempts to secure the best housing conditions available for its students. The committee preparing the list investigates the sanitary and social conditions of the houses, and by careful survey determines a fair rental
