February 15, 1944. Hayes Austin Sehaake Dear Friends: Dr. Nash, ASTP coordinator, is very anxious that you instructors emphasize to your classes not once, but as often as necessary, the necessity of these ASTP boys getting their gymasium equipment at the earliest possible moment, Jack Austin's load is being lightened due to the fact that some of the classes are not being held. Therefore, they are asking Jack to take charge of the supply room - only one men to handle it. Ray Kenehl is working with Dr. Nash, setting perhaps Tuesday and Friday afternoons when Jack shall keep the supply room open and sell equipment to the trainees. Dr. Canuteson is finding much fault with the fact that the trainees are using G.I. shoes and having a world of foot trouble, sprained ankles, and so forth, It is up to us to reduce this to the minimum, so let us give it ow fullest co- operation, PCA:AH
