Colorado continues to be the enigmatic team of
the annual Big Seven pre-season basketball tournament as it approaches
the twmthvx meet's tenth edition which opens Tuesday night in Munici-+
pal auditorium,
Despite those weekend shellings by Brigham Young,
in which the Cougars manhandled cU by an aggregate spread of 8 points ,
this year's Buffaloes will tote a more 8k impressive record into tourney
play than either of the last two editions. They number two defending
conference champions, Oregon State and Iowa, among their victins end
figure to beat Colorafo A & M Tuesday for a h-2 level,

Yet this is a squad which lost av& four regulars
off last year's Big seven championship five. That team was 3-3 at tour-e
_mament time last year and the schedule was no rougher than this season's
Vecember slate. And the 195k conference co-champs lost all five of the ir
