Free Throws Figure in New Tournament Records

Ames, Iowa, Jan, 7--The new free throw rule figured directly in 14 new or tied

records in the recent Big Seven basketball tournament,

A final check of the figures of the 1954 meet showed that 16 new records were

written into the books along with three ties, Fourteen of those 19 marks dealt with

free throws,
