The Buffs wiped out an- early
Kansas lead and pulled into a
10-10 tie midway thru-the first
quarter, and then zipped to a
14-10 lead with three minutes
left ni the period. Kansas/then
hit seven straight points ywhile
planking Colorado to p out
three points in front as th pres
ended...

Colorado never got-ev sonia
but kept it close until opened
the gap to eight points on a fol-|
low by Harold Patterson and a
tip-in by Born as the half ended.

Then the roof fell in. Colorado
didn’t score from. the field until
the second half was four minutes
old, and by. that time Kansas
owned a 44-30 lead, and was un-
der full steam. ~
Missouri grabbed a 19-15 lead
at the end of the first period,
poosted the lead to 38-30 at half-
time, and was. out in front, 59-47,
going into the final period after
once leading by 20 points.

Sophomore Norman | ‘Stewart
led the Tigers with 16 points, and
Reiter came in with 14 more.
Chuck Duncan led the Cyclones
with 19 points.

The losses dropped Iowa State
and Colorado into the consolation
bracket, where they'll meet Mon-
day afternoon.

The Missouri-lowa State game
established the season’s records
