K. S. ADAMS PRESIDENT October 20, 1938 Dr. Forrest C. Allen, University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas. Dear Phog: We errived home late Sunday evening, and I found it necessary to leave early Monday morning for the Gulf Coast, and just returned last night. I do want to tell you how much my family, my friends and I enjoyed the fine hos- pitality shown by you, Mrs. Allen and your charming family. The luncheon was indeed appetizing, and one of the high spots of our trip to Lawrence. I have written to Bing Smith, express- ing my appreciation for the courtesy extended to me, and I feel sure it was through your thoughtfulness that this was done. I listened with much interest to your broadcast, and want to congratulate you on the manner in which you handled the situation. It was very impressive. I hope sometime this winter when you are passing through Bartlesville you will give us the privilege of reciprocating your marvelous hospitality. With kindest personal regards, I am Sincerely yours, KSA: TEK
