Dear Dr. Allen:

Yesterday I read of the resignation of Mr. Begroot from
the Department of Physical Edueation. mt

Could you at this time give me any information relative
to this position or if one will exist for the comming
year.

I am a graduate of Ottawa University, graduating in 1927.
Since that time I have completed the Masters and approx-
imately half of the Doetorate in Fhysical Education at
the University of Iowa.

I have coached athletics and taught Physical Education
in two Kansas high schools. Four years ago I became the
director and supervisor of Physical Education in the
Chanute schools. My work here has also ineluded teaching
Playground Supervision, fersonal and Community Hygiene
and Sports and Recreation in the Junior College.

If the position exists and you feel that my application
is of interest,I would be glad to make a personal applie-
ation in the next few days before returning to the
University of Iowa for the summer session.
