October 4, 1957. ir, R, 8, Korte, | Tho SaskeQ-Lite Co., New Albany, Indiana, | Dear Ur, Korte : | I am sending you an exeerpt from a letter received from lir, §, Harold Browne, basket- ball coach at the University of Nebraska, i wrote him a feeler to see if wo could not him as en individual to adopt the Banke Q=Lite goal. TI am sending you a copy of the ) letter I wrote him, and the excerpt from his reply. _ You ean soe that he is shying away from it. it is for this reason trmaét I t t it best to pefrain from writing any testimonial of tho Bask-Oe-lLite because if the Big 84x coaches thought i was veosting it they might refuse it. it is for that reason that I have been slow in —— out in yrcemee -— a wb ee rorakteiene — expec wpe it in my preliminary games, 4 if the Big Six coaches do not vote it out I wiil us® it in all home Big Six panes, We have an agreement that when our coaches meet on Lecember 4 each year to list the type or plan of board we are using and agree on the interpretation, You can see that if I try to force the Besk-O«lLate in our conference games I would be in e bad way, In fact, I am already in a bad way. Kansas hes won too many championships to be popular with the group, - it is just human nature and I can't help it. I imagine I would have beon exactly like that if I was on the other side of the fence. So I must be rather discreet, and many times we get the worst of the bergein tetine on the winning side, But that is the pemaity we pay for being out in front and {¢ will elweys be thus. e:
