Dear Dr. Allen:

We were under the impression that you had the game with
Michigan State definitely scheduled for December 28th, and
held up writing Mri Van Alstyne until we sot the rest of the
tournament set up and were planning on trying to get him to
stay the whole three days.

However, from the tone of his letter to you, I believe
he would have accepted the $800.00 guarantee with the Oregon
school. I am sorry there was a misunderstanding on this.

I have a letter from Colorado State wondering about the
tournament and believe we could get them. What would be your
reaction in getting Colorado State for the tournament? They
will probably play under the same conditions as Michigan
State or cheaper.
