EDITORIAL ROOMS COUNTRY GENTLEMAN AMERICA’S FOREMOST RURAL MAGAZINE BEN HIBBS EDITOR THE CURTIS PUBLISHING COMPANY INDEPENDENCE SQUARE - PHILADELPHIA Thursday Dear Phog:- This may just confuse the issue, but don't let it worry you. Anyway, the Strath Haven Inn people in Swarth- more have come to me and offered to put up you and your boys for $1.50, two boys to a room in twin beds. I told you, I think, that Pennsylvania always sends their boys their be- fore one of the big football games. I note by the schedule that you have a Sunday lay-over between the Fordham game in the Garden and the Temple game here on Monday. Now I think Swarthmore is a nicer place to lay over than the city. There's lots of woods and trees and our weather ought to hold crisp and cool and Clear. Then, too, if your kids want to warm up a bkt the Swarthmore Field house is open to you on Sunday afternoon. Bill Stetson would be happy, I know, to scrimmage gently with your boys. Besides, Phog, I'd love to have you and your kids out in Swarthmore over the Sunday -- you all can call our Christmas tree yours. If you are definitely committed to the Phil- adelphian it's all OK with me Phog. If you decide you would like to come out to Swarthmore over the Sunday, just send me @ wire collect and I'll clinch with the Inn and I'll have them send you a memo confirming it. I did tell you that the Inn is about eight miles from Convention Hall, which would take a bus to get you in for the game -- or a train goes right to a block or two from the Hall. Transportation wouldn't be a problem. I have enough cars to do the job if you wish. If I don't hear from you, Phog, I'll assume you want to let the Philadelphians arrangement stand. Either way is all right. I'll be in there punching for K.U. Congratulations on the Texas wins. Until f see you, then -- good luck
