Itinerary of the University of Kansas Basketball Team

Leaving Lawrence, Kansas Monday, December 23 and returning
to Lawrence on January 3, 1941

The following men will make the trip;

The team will leave Lawrence, Kansas on the Santa Fe Streamliner
at 1;00 P.M., arriving in Chicago at 9:30 PoMe They will stay at the
Allerton Hotel while in Chicago, leaving Chicago next morning at 9:15 AeMe
for Ann Arbor, Michigan, arriving there at 2:23 P.M.

The Kansas team will work out in the Michigan Field House and stay
in Ann Arbor at the Michigan Union, leaving Ann Arbor at 7:01 AeMe, December 256
They will arrive at Niagara Falls at 1:27 P.M., leaving Niagara Falls at
8:30 P.M. and arriving at Buffalo at 9:30 P.M. Christmas night.

The team will leave Buffalo, on pullman, at 9:54 P.M, Christmas
night and arrive at West Point, New York, UeSeMilitary Academy, at 9:20 AeMe
the boys will work out at the Academy Field House, leaving West Point later
in the afternoon to arrive in New York in time to take their luggage to the
Hotel Piccadilly, where they will stay during the time they are in New Yorke
They will then go to Madison Square Garden and work out between halves of
the Illinois-Manhattan College gamee Santa Clara, California and City College
of New York also play the same nighte

On the 27th, Mr. Irish will provide a place for the team to practice
as Madison Square Garden will have an ice carnival there on that date.
On the 28th the Kansas team will play Fordhame

The team. will leave New York on the 29th for Philadelphia, staying
at the .Strath Haven Inn, Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, which is a suburb just outside
of Philadelphiae The Strath Haven Hotel is where the Pennsylvania football
team stays in retreat before their big gamese The Kansas team will practice at
the Swarthmore Field House, where Coach Bill Stetson has given us the run of
the placee Temple will be played in the Municipal Auditorium in Philadelphia
on December 30¢

On December 31 the team will go to Washington, D.C., where they will
spend the day visiting the F.BeI. Building in Washington, as well as the trip
to Mount Vernony etce
