Dear Dr. Allen:

We will be very pleased indeed, if you can be
present at our banguet for the boys who are

out for athletics, and be the guest speaker

at that time. As I stated in our conversation
this morning, the boys and Mr. McConnell, their
coach, prefer you to anyone else.

If the date is satisfactory to you, we would
prefer Tuesday evening, March 20.” The hour
will be seven o'clock. If this date is not
satisfactory to you, we might use any one of
the following dates--March 19, 21, 26, 28, or
29.

We greatly appreciate your willingness to
come, also the many favors you have granted
us in the past.
