Dear Dr, Allen:

We are expecting you in Beattie,
next Thursday, May 17, @g speaker at our
High School Commencement.

I do not know what means;of transport-
ation you will use in coming out, but I
should like to extend an invitation to you
to stop in Marysville and eat dinner with my
husband and me on Thursday evening. Then, if
by chance, you don't have your own car, we
will take you to Beattie with us,

In case you don't remember John, he took
his Master's at K. U. in the summer of '38,
He was quite interested in softball, and
played a good deal of it on the campus that
summer,

Please inform us when yo9 will arrive,
and how, so that we might make plans to meet
you. Our address in Marysville is 1100 Laramie,
or you may write me here at Beattie.
