UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN ANN ARBOR SCHOOL OF EDUCATION June 2, 1941 Dr. Raymond Ae Schwegler Dean, School of Education University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Year Dean Schwegler: Enclosed you will find two mimeographed pages of summarazed data regarding my academic and experiential record. At the present time I am enjoying my work in the training of teachers in the physical education department of the School of Education here. However the organization of the department does not allow for that development through the taking on of major responsibility that is predicated if d@ am to make best use of my background of training and experience. I completed the work for my doctorate in February 1940 and am therefore freer to serve in fields more remote from the University of Michigan campus. Although I have no knowledge of any immediate opehing in your depertment I am sending this information hoping that should a vacancy occur I might be considered. I am married, have two sons and am not subject to the Selective Service call. If a challenging position was involved I would be glad to assume charge even during the absence of a draftee. When necessary a complete record of occupational information including references can be secured from our University Bureau of Appointments and Occupational Information. Yours very truly, a zth (D.
