UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN ANN ARBOR DEPARTMENT OF INTRAMURAL SPORTS June 19, 1941 Mre Fe Co Allen Chairman, Department of Physical Education Room 105 Robinson Gymnasium University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Mr. Allen: Thank you for you letter of June 17 relative to the opening in your Department of Physical Education. ' I am asking our Bureau of Appointments and Occupational tnformation to send you my occupational record which is more complete than the mimeographed summary which you now havee This should reach you in the course of a few dayse As I stated in my earlier letter, + am very happy in my work here but realize the danger of inbreeding or too much of one University. tt was very kind of my alma mater to give me the instructorship immediately upon graduation but Ll believe there would be tremendous advantage in more varied experience. it is possible therefore that the position which you now have open might prove very interesting to mee -- At least I would like to know more about it and have you know more about mee Our registration for Summer School starts next Thursday and i should be here at least on Friday and Saturday. Starting “onday June 30, I will be very bus¥ as a lecturer in a graduate guidance workshop, as instructor in physical education filling in for one of our men who is away, and as a teacher in extension swimming classes. Early in the week however, I would be very glad to drive out for an interview relative to what might be worked out. If such a plan should suit your convenience will you send me a wire and 1 will do so. Yours very truly, HWC/s Harold W. Cop
