January 22, 1944. My. Don Isett, Metropolitan Supply Co., 602-616 Third Street, 5.3., Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Dear Don: It was mighty nice of you to ask me to speak at your ‘ Y.M.CeA. all-sports banquet. It will be « pleasure for me to accept. : Would it not be better for you to offer possibly two or three dates that would be most convenient to you? Then I will check with my dates and submit the one that is most acceptable to me from your agreeable dates. It will be a great pleasure to see you again and to visit with my good friend, Ira Carrithers, of whom I am very fond. It is a fact that I will have to travel a little farther then many that you have had, so if it is- agreeable with you, you could figure the extra expense according to your om angle and I would be very happy with it. If this will be any embar- rassment to you, of course I would not want you to do it, but the travel is quite an item of expense these deys and I thank you for taking that into account. _ I am planning on having a fine visit with you when I some up and I will try still to do saacsthing in regard to the other matter if possible. Sincerely yours, Pirector of Physical Education, PCA :AHZ Varsity BasketballCoach.
