ROBINSON RURAL HIGH SCHOOL Harold A. Cooke ROBINSON, KANSAS March 17, 1944 Dr. Forrest C. Allen, Athletic Department, Kansas University, Lawrence, Kansas. Dear Dr. Allen: This year the Methodist Men's Brotherhood of our town is planning to entertain the basketball squad at a banquet to be held April 19. ‘We would like very much to Rave you speak to the boys and men on this occasion. I am sure that it would be a thrill for the boys long to be remembered. Would it be possible to come on this date? Do you have a regular charge that you make for trips of this nature, if so will you please notify us so that we can know as to the approximate cost of this entertainment. If you have to come by bus, I imagine the best connections would be made through Topeka to Hiawatha at which place I would be glad to come and meet .you. Although Wednesday is our regular meeting night, we could possibly have it on another day of the week if it is not possible for you to come on Wednesday the 19th. We would cerfainly appreciate it and 1 am sure the boys would too if you could possibly do this for us. Will you let me know as soon as possible? i er eed 2 Harold A.
