A great deal of interest was aroused in our annual
athletic banquet when it was mentioned that we were go-
ing to try and get "Phog" Allen to be the guest speaker.
Would it be possible for you to come for this banquet?

Personally, nothing would please me more than to have you
accept this invitation. I have followed your teams for fif-
teen or twenty years and have been a backer for your basket-
ball team. There are a number of "good old boys" in this
town and community that follow basketball and are very an-
xious that you come. In fact, they said they would help raise
some extra money to get you here.
