Eten le esteem ~The EL CCE. oOo a SR Te oe Sabetha City Schools SABETHA, KANSAS Office of Superintendent May 1, 1942 Dr. F. C. Allen University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Dr. Allen: I am writing to supplement our telephone conversation of a few days ago. Our Father and Son banquet is to be held in the Con- gregational church, May 12, at 6:30... There will be ap- proximately 120 boys and fathers, who would be interested in an address of your own choice or as has been suggested by some of the club members, some pictures of your basket- ball team in action. Qur community has become very basketball minded dur- ing the last two seasons. I am sure these men and their fast growing youths would appreciate any picture you might show. This is only a suggestion which has been handed to me. You do as you choose and I am sure everyone will be pleased. Another suggestion has been made, by our sponsor Mr. Harp, that possibly there would be a quartet or novelty team that would like to come for the evening. If any such musical unit could be secured to give a fifteen or twenty minute program it would give variety to our program. These are merely suggestions which may handle as to your own liking. Please let us know as soon es possible if you wish to do this. As was said in the telephone conversation your expense will be paid by our Boyst Club. Hoping everything to be satisfactory with you, the Sabetha Boys' Club will have the welcome mat out May 12 at 6350, : Most Sincerely yours, Sanborn Cook
