NORTHEAST MISSOURI STATE TEACHERS COLLEGE KIRKSVILLE, MISSOURI September 19, 1940 Dear Old Bulldog: Here comes the announcement of that HOME-COMING that so many of you declared last year you would help Blue Key make bigger and better than ever, if we could but shift the time to Saturday. SATURDAY, OCTOBER 26, IT IS. That was a great meeting last year, probably one of those never-again gatherings with "Curly" and so many of the old crowd. This year's reunion will certainly be of that nature, because along with our returning for football, visiting, and seeing the changes that have come to make the OLD SCHOOL a power for twice the student body of former years, we also come to dedicate the JOHN R. KIRK MEMORIAL. We come to dedicate one of the most beautiful college buildings in America to the memory of the man who bred and trained the Bulldogs and created for us the famous BULLDOG SPIRIT that comes to dominate our college life and ell of our activities when the campus days are history. THE PROGRAM 10:00 General Assembly and Dedication 12:00 Informal Luncheons 1:30 Parade 2:00 The Bulldogs vs. Iowa Wesleyan 6:00 Home-Coming Banquet 9:00 Home-Coming Dance Just as before, Blue Key has arranged a schedule of activities such as to give plenty of time for visiting, football, and seeking out old haunts and old companions.
