Mail intended for the United States Attorney's office should be addressed: United States District Attorney, Topeka, Kansas. ee In order to accommodate discharged veterans the local board offices should be open to the public from 8 to 12 and 1 to 5, Monday through Friday. (Exception: In smaller boards where the only clerk is on a part- time basis.) 3.e It is mandatory that local boards comply with the provisions of Paragraph 3 of Part IV of Local Board Memorandum No. 115 as amended August 31, 1945, and such action must be taken not later than October 31, 1945, 4, The job-jumping provisions of Law and Regulations (Section 5 (I) and Section 622.22-2(c)) apply to any registrant in the age group 18 through 25 regardless of whether he desires to return to the field of education or to become engaged in other employment. 5. "Special Report on Registrants Placed in IV-A before October 31, 1945" will not be mailed prior to October 31, 1945 and not later than Novem ber 2, 1945. 6. Medical Bulletin No. 46 contemplates that two copies of T~34 will be forwarded to this office when transmitting DSS Forms 221 for registrants rejected or qualified for limited service only. 7. The fact that a delinquent registrant attains the age of 26 years and is classified IV-A does not constitute authority to close his delinquency file, although he may not be inducted. 8. Delinquents reported on DSS Form 550 are subject to prosecution by the United States Attorney and only the United States Attorney may determine whether or not he will be so prosecuted. 9. The local board delinquency file of registrants over 26 who have been reported on DSS Form 550 may be closed only when the United States Attorney declines prosecution and closes the case. Distr.
