Subject: Presentation of Selective Service Medal.

To: Local Board Addressed.

1. There has been prepared a "List of Board Members and Government
Appeal Agents Who as of August 31, 1945 Have Served Two Years or More and
are Hligible to Receive the Selective Service Medal as Authorized by Public
Law 112-79th Congress."

e. There is enclosed herewith one copy of this list for each in-
dividual listed for your local board and one copy for your files.

3. It is requested that you deliver or mail to the individuals
belonging to your local board one copy. In case the individual is
deceased, it is requested that the copy be delivered or mailed to his
next of kin.

4, It is desired that the names be carefully checked to ascertain
whether or not there are any discrepancies and if so, that this office be
notified by return mail.

5. Request that the name and address be furnished of the next of
kin of those individuals listed and now deceased. Also request that the
address be furnished of those living and who are no longer connected with
your board,

6. Your attention is invited to the fact that this is only a
partial list of those who are or will become entitled to this medal.
Individuals who shall have completed two years of service on or after
August 31, 1945 will appear on lists for subsequent presentations,
